YouTube Guitar Tabs Helper is a Chrome extension that helps guitar players open matching chord pages for songs playing on YouTube or songs listed in a YouTube playlist.
This extension is unofficial and is not affiliated with YouTube, Google, or Ultimate Guitar.
Information the extension reads: The extension reads the current YouTube video title, YouTube Music track information, and visible YouTube playlist song titles. This information is used only to search for matching guitar chord pages.
Information stored locally: The extension stores trial start and trial end time, license status, license verification timestamp, cached chord result URLs, and temporary playlist song titles locally in Chrome storage.
Payments and license keys: Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy. The extension does not collect, process, or store credit card details.
When a user enters a license key, the extension sends the license key and optional purchase email to Lemon Squeezy's license API to verify lifetime access.
Ultimate Guitar requests: The extension contacts Ultimate Guitar to resolve the best matching chord page for a song title.
Data sharing: The extension does not sell user data. The extension does not use user data for advertising. The extension shares license verification details with Lemon Squeezy only when a user enters a license key.
